Briefing moment at LawDrive statute atelier
Clear answers help you decide whether LawDrive is the right advisory fit.
  • Is LawDrive a driving school, cloud storage provider, referral agency, or do you guarantee legal outcomes?

No. LawDrive Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore law practice providing professional legal advisory services. We are not a driving school, motoring instruction provider, or any transport training business. We do not operate a consumer cloud storage platform, file-hosting service, or document vault marketed as cloud backup for the public.

We are not a referral agency brokering clients to third-party lawyers for commission, and we do not guarantee specific legal outcomes — results depend on the facts, evidence, applicable statutes, and forum in each brief. If you encounter websites or messages claiming LawDrive offers driving lessons, free cloud storage, guaranteed wins, or agency referral rewards, those communications are not authorised by us. Report suspicious activity to [email protected].

  • How does a statute atelier differ from a traditional firm?

In a statute atelier you work directly with experienced practitioners from the first conversation. We avoid unnecessary hierarchy, prefer concise folio maps over volume memos, and include reasonable implementation follow-up. Our UIC Building rooms are designed for collaborative statute mapping rather than formal posturing.

  • What types of clients do you serve?

We serve Singapore-incorporated companies, foreign entities establishing local presence, founders, family offices, and in-house teams needing overflow advisory. Our focus is growth-stage organisations navigating licensing, commercial contracts, workforce statutes, and regional expansion.

  • How are fees structured?

Fixed-fee scopes for defined folio maps, hourly rates for exploratory questions, and monthly retainers for ongoing counsel. After an initial scoping call we provide a written estimate before work begins. Disbursements such as filing fees are billed at cost with prior approval.

  • Do you handle litigation?

Our core work is advisory and dispute route planning. When court or arbitration is necessary we engage trusted litigation partners while maintaining strategic oversight of your statutory and commercial arc.

  • Can you advise on PDPA and data protection?

Yes. We map PDPA obligations across customer journeys, review data processing agreements, and help design breach response steps aligned with Singapore notification expectations. Data work is integrated into broader regulatory pathway design rather than treated as a standalone checkbox.

  • What should I prepare before a counsel call?

Bring a concise description of the decision you need to make, relevant agreements or regulator correspondence, key dates, and the stakeholders who must approve the outcome. You do not need a polished legal memo — a bullet-point brief is enough for us to assess fit and propose a folio scope. If documents are sensitive, mention that during booking and we will arrange a secure exchange channel after conflict checks.

  • How quickly do you respond to enquiries?

We aim to acknowledge contact form submissions and emails within one business day during office hours (Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 SGT). Urgent matters flagged in your subject line receive same-day review where capacity allows. Complex briefs may require a short follow-up call before we confirm scope and fees.
